System Art Design LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Tongo mobile application (the "App") and the website at real-time-translator.net. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Audio and Voice Data

Tongo uses your device microphone to capture speech for translation. All voice processing happens entirely on your deviceusing Apple's on-device Translation framework. Audio is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

1.2 Conversation Transcripts

Translated text and conversation history are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your transcripts, and they are not synced to external servers unless you explicitly share them.

1.3 Purchase Information

Subscriptions (Weekly at $4.99/week, Annual at $29.99/year) are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store payment card numbers, billing addresses, or any financial data. Apple's privacy policy governs payment processing.

1.4 Usage Analytics

We may receive aggregated, anonymised analytics through Apple's App Store Connect — such as crash reports, session counts, and feature usage — to help us improve the App. This data does not identify you personally.

1.5 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or account credentials (no account is required)
• Location data
• Contacts or address book entries
• Photos or camera data
• Voice recordings sent to our servers

2. How We Use Information

The limited information we receive is used solely to:

• Operate and improve the App (crash reports, bug fixes)
• Understand which features are used most (aggregated analytics)
• Verify active subscriptions through Apple's StoreKit
• Respond to support inquiries you initiate

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

4. Data Retention

• Conversation transcripts — stored locally on your device. Deleted when you delete the App or clear the App's data.
• Crash and analytics data — retained by Apple for up to 90 days in aggregate form.
• Support correspondence — retained for up to 2 years, then deleted.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
• Deletion — request erasure of your personal data
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Object — object to certain types of processing
• Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time

Because the App stores data locally on your device and requires no account, most data is already under your direct control. To exercise any of the above rights or to submit a request, email privacy@real-time-translator.net. We will respond within 30 days.

EU/EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

6. Children's Privacy

Tongo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Security

Because translation and conversation data never leave your device, the primary security boundary is your device itself. We recommend enabling device-level encryption (which iOS enables by default with a passcode) and keeping your iOS version up to date.

For any data that does pass through our systems (e.g., support emails), we use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

8. International Users

System Art Design LLC is based in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please note that any information you provide may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing is: (a) performance of the contract to provide the App to you; and (b) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide prominent notice within the App. Your continued use of Tongo after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
